What a beautifully decorated cottage with an insanely gorgeous view from every window!!! We just stayed one night and I now wish that we had more time to stay another. There were so many wineries in close proximity, and this was perfect for our girls weekend away. I can't wait to come back :)
The Cottage at Red Ridge Farms is the perfect for a visit to Oregon Wine Country. With a private gated entrance and away from everyone this place was a great surprise upon arrival. The bottle of Durant Vineyards wine in the fridge and the olive oil and balsamic vinegar made there on site are a great added touch upon arrival! The cottage has beautiful views of the valley and Mt Hood from the back deck. The full kitchen is great! The house is very specious and very comfortable. Don't miss this place! Absolutely magical place with spectacular views of the surrounding vineyards and the beautiful grounds of Red Ridge Farms with its lavender and olive grove. Walking up the spiral staircase is a feast for the senses with lavender bunches drying along the wall. The guest suite is very spacious, has two balconies and feels very comfy with books and lots of comfortable chairs and couches to read.
The bed is cozy and it's just so quiet there, esp. after 5:00pm when the staff has left.
Made our own coffee in the morning which is very nice to have and then headed off for a more substantial breakfast at Red Hills Market in Dundee. Highly recommend Red Hills Market as well as they carry some really unique cheeses, chocolates and wine.
The staff at Red Ridge Farms was very helpful and the place is a great way to experience some quiet.
Absolutely loved the studio/guest suite! Agree w/ Ulrike P.--jaw-dropping upon entering. Wonderful view of vineyard hills through windows, warm wood beams & shelving, lots of storage, equipped kitchen, aromas of lavender and herbs. Nice additions of books, bottle of Durant Vineyards wine, coffee beans, binoculars, Oregon Mill olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Quiet solitude, even with the shop downstairs open. The problem being which deck to enjoy with that nice glass of wine--the view of hills or the private zen-like garden w/ water feature?! Comfortable bed & pillows, nice wool blanket to cover you when sitting outside at night w/ cool breezes in anti-gravity recliners. We cooked breakfast in the full kitchen, enjoyed dinner at nearby restaurants. Wonderful location for Dundee, Yamhill-Carlton, Ribbon Ridge, Chehalem Mt. vineyards. Friendly & helpful staff, great wine, inquisitive cats, breath-taking view, cool, fresh air, the feeling of solitude & relaxation. Can we live here part-time?
entering the apartment was one of those jaw-dropping moments. open space apartments with windows to three sides. spectacular views of wine country, lavender field and an olive grove. two spacious decks for relaxing and enjoying some sunshine. perfectly equipped with a lot of attention to detail. a bottle of wine, coffee beans and milk provided - nice touch. the kind of apartment I would like to call home. we had a wonderful time, can highly recommend.
