We had a great time staying with the Barrett’s- Andy and Linda made us feel right at home. The food was delicious and the room was very comfortable. We stayed in the New Mexico room and would highly recommend it! They made several suggestions for things for us to do while we were there: we visited the Whirlwind Winery, did several things at Roman Nose abd took our boat to Canton Lake. The home is beautiful with lots of history. We enjoyed visiting with them- definitely a great place to stay!

Beds were soft and showers were nice. Everything was very clean. My dad says that he has stayed in 5 star hotels, and this place was every bit as nice. It is located about 8-10 minutes outside of Watonga, so it is not directly in the town. However, it is just right outside of Roman Nose Park.

Located within minutes of Roman Nose State Park, the Chaparral Retreat and Guesthouse provides a comfortable, quiet, clean, and reasonably priced alternative to staying on the park grounds. While no lodging is perfect, this may be as close as one gets in Blaine County.

While the Chaparral Retreat and Guesthouse can be technically classified as a bed and breakfast, don't think you are checking into an old cottage stuffed full of antiques. The design is hardy Southwestern. The beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms, a manageable size.

Best of all, you feel like you are staying with old friends who truly respect your privacy but want you to have a great experience.

On a clear night, you can count hundreds and hundreds of stars.

Stayed with my husband here a few weeks ago. Great experience. Great owners. Bed comfy, amazing walking trails in nature, sitting area outside room was great, breakfast was really good too. Owners sat with us and we learned so much about the history of Watonga, Roman Nose Park and the family of the B & B. Definitely recommend for a great place to do a little R&R.

Absolutely Amazing! Andy & Linda are just delightful! The grounds are gorgeous, the rooms are very warm & inviting, the beds are extremely comfortable, the bathrooms are spectacular, the coffee was top notch with yummy flavored creamer & breakfast was beyond delicious! Having coffee on the porch, in the crisp cool morning, with bacon cooking filling the woodsy air, watching wildlife through the woods, thanking God for such a blessing - Priceless! ♥
