stopped by to check out the impressive architectural designs of the campus and the different buildings. It is truly a rare gem in the mid centry modern design. The grounds are wonderfully landscaped as well.

We went to see ORU as we were in Tulsa and it was worth it. Its a Christian University campus and amazing to see how one man had a dream and built it.

Yes, this is a university campus, and there are several unique structures, which deserve a close exploration. What is of value is the stories that are part of this place. Visit the Prayer Tower. You will find a certificate which was presented to Oral Roberts by a Cherokee leader, as their "proud boy." Do more than seeing: do listening.

Before heading to Tulsa, one of my friends said that we should check out Oral Roberts because of its unique architecture so we made a stop.

When asking questions to student staff members, they were short with us and not helpful. Not a great beginning. The architecture, including the Prayer Tour, was very 60s Star Trek inspired and not at all interesting nor beautiful. After 20-30 minutes, we left very disappointed.

I would not make a special trip to ORU just to see it...but if you are driving by it is worth seeing. Of course, I have been at several events here so maybe I am just too used to it.
