On west side of Peoria, store front in boutique strip, near the stop light. Park on the street (Peoria) only if you wish to bet the driver's life on timing a quick exit from the vehicle.
Dark, small, cozy but a tad of a feeling of being packed in. Server was excellent but I was dining with a regular they all knew by name so that may or may not have been a factor. I had the Pomadoro with blackened chicken. The three of us split the fried mozzarella ravioli for which Mondos is known. My meal was fresh and the linguine cooked a perfect it dente. The blackened chicken was most and good. My complaint is that for me, I was expected some zest, especially since I ordered extra garlic. The food was under -seasoned for my taste and had a Tuscan flavor. The ravioli was fried gooeyness Mondos became famous for in the first edition before reopening after years at this more upscale locale. The marinara dipping sauce was the old Mondos recipe.; classic.
My friends both ordered salads which were fresh and HUGE. Bread freshly baked and quite good.
