I really enjoyed my stay at the “haunted” Skirvin Hilton! The lobby is gorgeous, very early 20th century, modernly preserved. The breakfast buffet is very good, love the variety, though I admit to having lox and a bagel pretty much every morning!
I’d heard stories of the hotel being haunted, specifically on the 10th floor, and I was on the 11th. One night as I was going to bed, all the lights were out and I heard the distinct sound of a zipper being unzipped DIRECTY behind me. It’s a hotel; people unpack and repack constantly; but the rooms are very well soundproofed and I didn’t really ever hear so much as a peep out of any of the rooms next to me. So that sufficiently creeped me out for the night.
Note that there are not mini fridges in the rooms by default. This didn’t particularly bother me, and I believe you are able to get one upon request, but it’s definitely something to be aware of before you go buying groceries or bringing home leftovers.
I’d definitely try to stay here every time I go to OKC!More
