I first visited Campus Corner in the early 1970s when I was a kid and then went to OU in the late 70s and have been back several times. I would say it is better than some years but has room for improvement especially as you get further back. Good selection of restaurants although miss the iconic Toto pizza! For home football game days they set up with lots of vendors and beer stations and close off traffic on the side streets. It was very busy when we there about 4 hours before game time and right before homecoming parade. We went to Hideaway Pizza and the iconic O'Connell's pub has relocated from Lindsay Street to Campus Corner. Still not the same without Harold's although enjoyed the plaque on the original location.

I wandered all around this Historic region, but it was early evening. No one was in any of the shops or restaurants. I am told that the activity does not start until after 11 pm.

I like Campus Corner very much, in part because of the great meals we had at Hideaway Pizza (Paradise Pie and Sooner Schooner--Big YES to both!) and I think it is Happy Taco? where we had a very fresh and great tasting lunch of tacos for National Taco Day. We had to rush through torrents of rain and flooded intersections to get to Hideway (very dramatic) but get there we did!

This area used to be less upscale, but in recent years many changes have come to the campus corner. It is still a fun place to visit if you can find parking. There are many more shops, boutiques and restaurants. A good variety of food types to be found, but no longer inexpensive student-type restaurants. It is still a fun place to visit from time to time. Some of the bars/restaurants stay open fairly late.

If you want to shop, eat, drink, people watch or just stroll across the street from University of OK then come to Campus Corner!! So many different one of the kind food stops. I'll focus on Sweets--

Hurts Donut has the most creative and yummy donuts imaginable. I bet they have 100
Different kinds like fruity pebbles and maple bacon long John's (actually very food) They also have all the plain Jane donuts but kids love seeing the crazy donuts they make. This is the only Hurts Donuts in OK. Open 24 hours a day.

The Apple tree chocolate shop (near Fuzzy tacos) has so many homemade chocolates! Both sugar and sugar free types. Have to try of their over 20 different apples they have. Will slice there for you. They have to name a couple normal caramel ones but also some with Oreos and nuts. Tons of unusual stuff there too like chocolate covered potato chips, licorice, strawberries and cherries. Tons of truffles and delicious chocolates. They also have a free fresh fruit flavored water near north wall as well.

The popsicle shop on the center street which is 500 Buchanan is next door to new Latin Restraurant. Has popsicles made healthy like fresh fruit then the ok gotta have not so healthy like chocolate. They make different ones every day. I love their strawberry lemonade one.

Then Bear ice cream 700 Asp at the end of the street. Look for blue awning it has homemade cookies and ice cream that has the lines standing outside waiting. It's a small pace so either make sure you have time to wait or eat outside. Shade to the west if you need some to eat in.

Starbucks also has the normal pastries and sweets that everyone loves at the corner of Boyd and Asp. East side of street.

Crimson and Creme cupcakes on White street (Next to stationary and card shop) near University has assorted pastries and super yummy cupcakes.

Coming soon will be insomnia (next to chocolate store) which also has homemade cookies and ice cream but will deliver up to 5 miles until 3 am.
