This is a real treasure for Muskogee. So many great American Artist early work is found in these great rock walls. Jerome tiger for one. Sculptures, paintings and some really great artifacts from all over Oklahoma. Their is so much that all cant be shown at one time. After taking in all the great things drive down to Honors Heights park that just below the museum for a really beautiful exhibit of some great fawna.

I just stumbled on to this small museum and found it quite intriguing. I am fascinated with Native American history and this was a fabulous representation of the Five Civilized Tribes! I highly recommend this to all history buffs and people interested in NA history.

The museum itself is small but the amount of items and the story is something to note if you're visiting. Spent 45 minutes in the museum and it was just enough time. The attendants were extremely helpful.

This museum is a must see for the area. The building itself is historic. Spend some time outside and then venture indoors. From wood carving to paintings, there is a nice variety of art to enjoy. The gift shop offers many items made by local Cherokee artisans as well.
