The menu has a good variety of choices and two chefs do an outstanding job of making the food memorable. Favorites: Lake Erie perch tacos with a mild spicy mango sauce and chicken green chili soup.

The Goat is a must-stop on the island. We’ve been there more times than I can count and have always been more than satisfied. The restaurant’s ambiance is charming. All staff members are very friendly and attentive. The menu is incredible with so many choices it’s difficult to decide what to order, so plan to go back again and again. The homemade soups are delicious. Every dish we’ve ordered has been wonderful, with very generous portion sizes. We love the Goat, you will too!
We also had our wedding reception there this past Saturday, and the entire experience was phenomenal! Our buffet dinner was outstanding and the staff went above and beyond to ensure that everything ran smoothly. Everyone that we’ve talked to reported that it was the best reception they’ve ever attended, and we can’t agree more!

We were spending the weekend on the island and wanted to enjoy a nice dinner out and their menu struck us. Easy to find on Catawba just outside of town. Being September we didn't need reservations but would definately recommend them in high season in summer. Lots of parkng for cars and golf carts. Tuff to locate the entrance which is in the back of the restuarant. It was warm enough to eat outside on their lovely covered patio surrounded by baskets and pots of blooming flowers. Great jazz music was played in the background. We weren't all that hungry so opted to share their Chef's Board which is a Chacuterie plate w/ unusual cheeses and meats like duck and venison and each ordered a Greek Salad which were very large. We couldn''t finish the Chef's Board so the leftovers came home w/ us for a picnic lunch the next day. A very enjoyable time and food altho the service was a bit slow.

Visited there twice in September of this year. Staff was very friendly and the service was excellent. The outdoor seating was serene and beautiful. Their mojitos are made with ingredients from their own garden. I am a fish lover and their perch tacos (both times we visited) were the best we ever had. Great Place!

We had a lovely dinner on the upper patio of the Goat. I had their famous fish tacos and a mint Mojito! Both were incredible. Many of their garden vegetables are grown right in their backyard and our food was fresh and delicious. If we had had time, we would have gone back for more dinners here. You absolutely cannot go wrong with this restaurant choice. It is located above the Chocolate factory (chocolate desserts and ice cream and next to the Biergarten if you want to sit and enjoy some beers before dinner .how can you go wrong? Prices were moderate...
