Very small room. No table, only one bedside table & one chair. No exhaust fan in bathroom. Limited choice for dinner. Poor breakfast selection, very limited. No gluten free and no no-carb options. Toaster was very slow everyone was commenting. Poor acoustics, very loud. Not convenient location to pool, game room. Not on the beach.

My husband and I decided to take a long weekend for our 10th anniversary, lets say we will not be going there for our 11th. Check in is supposed to be at 4, never got to go into a cabin until after 5, since it was about a 5 hour drive to get there we were looking forward to getting checked in and into our room. Once we walked in to the cabin the fridge was sooo lound there was no way anyone could have gotten any sleep in there. Went back to get another cabin and they said they did not have any other, after getting very upset they put us into another cabin. After all settled in went to run some water and it came out BLACK. And smelled like rotten eggs. We went and bought water to cook with. The furniture was not comfortable at all. The only thing I did like was Bianca(did my manicure) and a couple of the ladies at the front desk were nice. I will not choose them again unless they do some major upgrades.

We just returned from a 3 day, 2 night stay at Erie Islands Resort. Although I had been there many years ago we were very cautious about what to expect after reading several reviews on here. Thankfully, we felt they were wrong:) We went on a Groupon deal which included a wine and cheese reception~they did run out of crackers halfway through until one of the employees brought some more but it was nice and exactly what they advertised. There was a lady who came to our table and asked us if we would be interested in listening to a 90 minute presentation about an ownership option. We told her we weren't interested and she put NO pressure on us at all! She chatted with us for a few minutes and then left our table. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean however as many people mentioned there was a slight odor in the room~we decided that it was because the windows had been closed all winter. We opened the windows for a couple of hours and the smell went away. The second night the deal included a meal (with your choice of chicken or spaghetti) and we were blown away with how good our meal was! We both had the chicken and it was excellent~the meal also included a bottle of wine, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and your choice of ice cream and different toppings for dessert. The one drawback of the whole trip would be the breakfast they include~it is nothing but starch and more starch!! They also tend to run out of things before they refill it~the first morning they ran out of coffee (they did refill it but my boyfriend had to wait), bread, paper plates, etc. The second morning all they had was English muffins, white bread, wheat bread, raisin bread and a couple of kinds of cereal. They ran out of milk and juice and there were no knives to spread the butter or jelly on the toast. I think they need to check things a little more. My boyfriend was glad we went and said he definitely would go back again. For the price we paid it was an awesome deal!!!

We stayed in the hotel. Bring a hair dryer, iron, etc. One chair in the room and a queen-sized bed. No hooks, 4 hangars. No elevator to 2nd floor and ice machine on 2nd floor. No ramps in the hotel. Comfy, but a bit small. Went on a groupon, and took a tour. 3.5 hours we won't get back. There's a reasonable Chinese buffet 15 minutes away if you're hungry.

We checked in @4:00 and checked out @6:00 the same day. The water in the room was green and had a terrible odor. We went to the desk to see about changing rooms, and there was a sign that said someone would be back the next morning. We had to check out at the guard station. I contacted J.B. Dollar about our so called stay and was told to contact Ken at the resort. I did three times and have not heard back. I then tried to call J.B. Dollar again and was told to give Ken another day or so. Still no response. I will keep everyone updated. We also have pictures to post. I hope to hear from J.B. Dollar or Erie Island Resorts.
