A very respectable institute. Starting with the drive onto the property. it is clear to see the passion for gardening and farming.
There are acres of vegetables and flowers growing everywhere. The beautiful log cabin style building where the cooking class took place is well maintained with a rustic vibe. The setting is peaceful and tranquil.
Inside the large kitchen was spotless and showed a lot of TLC. Jamie was our chef instructor and he was excellent in his presentation/ demonstration. Easy to understand and a wealth of knowledge about vegetables and their history. He shared creative and practical cooking techniques, asked questions and worked at a pace that was easy to follow.
The rest of the team were friendly and helpful as well and made everyone feel welcomed.
We sat in a large great room facing the kitchen. The demonstration took place in front of the kitchen. That made it easy to see the kitchen activity taking place along with the demonstration.
The food was outstanding and yet very simple to prepare. We have a whole new appreciation for vegetables, some
of which we had never heard of and we learned ways to better utilize all parts of the vegetables. No more throw always.
Thank you Jamie and team for a great afternoon. We highly recommend a visit.
