We have frequented this restaurant many times and have had great food and service. However, it appears that this restaurant was written up in a local paper and everything is now a nightmare. We had a 35 minute wait to be seated, 25 minute wait for someone to take our order (though we did get our drinks pretty fast but had to ask for refills), and a 25 minute wait for food. They did not seem prepared for the onslaught of customers. Our waitress also wasn't very pleasant. Either won't return for a while until they get their act together or will do take out. Also, make sure you check what they are out of when you sit down - after that long while of waiting to get our order taken, we find that they didn't have "enough food" to put together the sampler that was advertised in the waiting area.

Seriously big portions, my recommendation is to work really hard to choose what you want and limit the number of items. Then go a la carte! The pierogies were really really good as was the fresh kielbasa.

Great Polish or Ukraine food. The restaurant is hidden in a little strip mall its between the CVS and the post office. It's actually called Babushka's Kitchen. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. The perogies are huge and good and the stuff cabbage is just like my grandmother's which I love! Also they make wonderful cookies that sell out fast. If it's around the holidays put your order in early otherwise you will miss out. This is a no frills restaurant with good food.

Order the chicken soup then leave. The soup was very good, but the allegedly trademark dish, pierogies, was greasy and heavy. The accompanying noodles and cabbage was oily and did not taste fresh.

If you want Polish food, this is it. The restaurant is not much to look at from the outside. The inside is bright florescent lighting, cheap tableware that comes in a plastic basket with a paper napkin. The ambiance.. there is none. The place is well worn.

But... the food is worth it. My wife & I shared the Hunter's Feast. Pirogi, stuffed cabbage, sauerkraut was the best and the pork melted in your mouth. The Kielbasa was homemade and delicious. This platter came with two sides. We had applesauce... the chunky old style with some cinnamon and the noodles. The cabbage was amazing. We did get one piece of rye bread and while it looked lonely on the plate... well.. this is real rye bread. All of this, more than the two of us could eat.. less than $20.

The place was packed and, many people were there for take out.

We would return for food,, no doubt. Don't wear your tux.. LOL.
