Amazing stay while we were there in early October. The "Tassie Barrel" fireplace puts out a very good amount of heat, no issues there. Lots of rooms too - more than what we needed for myself, my wife, and our baby girl.
All rooms clean and in good condition, no complaints here.
And the stars. Oh man. If you stay here and one of the nights happens to be clear, do what we did: turn off the lights, go outside, and look up.
We thought we got good views of the stars where we live, in a small, 3-digit population town an hour and a quarter outside of a major city. Nothing compared to the stars here at the Blue Gum Lodge haha.
The only downside was that the washing machine and wood stove oven were marked as Out Of Order during our stay - however, I assume this will be addressed if it hasn't been by now. This did not affect us during our stay regardless - we didn't need to do laundry, and there's an electric oven/stove which we used instead for our cooking. :)

We had a fantastic stay here, the house is a lovely, character filled place full of warmth and everything you need. The views from the verandah are stunning and there are some nice little walks around the property.
Could imagine this would be an ideal place for a romantic getway, but it was also fabulous for the family holiday.
Wonderful little cabin in the bush with an ocean view. Good kitchen with electric oven/stove + wood burning as well. Lots of outside deck space with a BBQ. No reason to be bored here. Cute little towns and gorgeous ocean beaches nearby. Great bush walking including the challenging and rewarding St Patricks peak nearby. Plenty of books, DVDs and music to keep you entertained. Comfy beds with cozy doonas. No shortage of wallabies that come to visit.
PS Thanks for the musical blast from the past...the CD collection of Brand New Heavies, Pearl Jam, Chris Isaak, Sundays, REM, Smashing Pumpkins, Wonder Stuff, Massive Attack etc takes me back to good times from the 90s.
