Only a few dining options in Derwent Bridge and this fits the bill for a breakfast, snack or lunch option.

Service was efficient and hospitable. Inside/outside dining available.

Petrol, restrooms, maps and basic necessities all onsite.

Is five minutes drive from Lake St. Clair on the Lyell Highway.

Just when you think there is no where to eat up pops the Hungry Wombat at Derwent Bridge . Tables inside and out , has some groceries ,fuel and toilets. Perfect spot to break the journey. Big parking area for vans and cars . Nothing flash just good friendly service and great burgers .

This unassuming roadside cafe next to the petrol station at Derwent Bridge serves good coffee and food. We stopped for lunch after visiting Lake St Clair and the Wall in the Wilderness. Our burger and mulligatawny soup was delicious and it was really good value.

It's a humble looking roadside cafe with all the basics. We enjoyed fresh country-style food and coffee. There's also a small groceries section. Sold delicious local honey. Very helpful staff with tourist tips. Husband liked the coffee.
