Stopped by for breakfast - most tables inside were reserved but they made room for me. Friendly and efficient service. Coffee very good. My breakfast was excellent. Everything a good cafe should be. A definite "go to" experience.

Amazing how some cafes - like this one - aren't flash but can get it so right and others get it so wrong! Without hesitation - 5 stars.

By using the old theory of look for the busiest coffee shop in town we found the Lotus cafe. The coffee was so good I bought a second one before I finished my first one. The staff were so friendly and courteous, the barista was a lovely bloke and the good vibes of the cafe brought us back to town later that day after driving around the south of tassie. pure delight for the taste buds.

Had seen the road to Cygnet on the way to Tahune and Geeveston so on the way back to Hobart we headed to Cygnet and found the Lotus Eaters Cafe. A busy place but that’s a good sign. All the tables outside were taken so we grabbed a table in the front room by ourselves. Ordered a bowl of lentil and veggie soup.... it was delicious and nourishing. The desserts looked enticing and were being consumed with relish by other guests. But we didn’t stay for dessert so I’m unable to comment. But if you’re heading to Cygnet make sure you stop and try this cafe!

A blackboard menu shows the choices and there are not a lot of them. The food was good though and beautifully presented with some really nice side salads. Gluten free panini was available. We sat in the front room, there is also an outside dining area.
What lets this place down is the flies in the dining area and also the extremely dirty window ledges. One wall print seems to be attached to the wall with a dusty spider web.
