I'm confident that if more people knew about this place, it would have a much better ranking on TripAdvisor.
I organised one nights stay for my fiancé's birthday. Anne is like... the rich aunt we never had. Pushing chocolate biscuits and Irish coffees on us. A purely delightful hostess with lovely refined decorating taste. How many b&bs have a POOL?!
As with everything here, the breakfast was far beyond my expectations. Amazing fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, breads, bacon & eggs, with fresh juice and tea or plunger coffee.

I would recommend spending the extra on a king room. You get a lovely little tea & coffee table overlooking the pool and mountains.

From the moment we called to book a room with Gables retreat it was polite and welcoming.after calling couple of other places we decided to took the risk and book it and it was worth a risk! at the arrival we were greeted and showed us around the place & rooms. it was very pleasurable to meet them and most of all place was clean!! kept very well. Rooms were clean and neat and bathrooms were good too. only lacking part was outdoor pool was not heated this occasion. it was about 19 degrees and bit chilly. but again it maintained very well, after having cold swim enjoyed the warm spa in the suite. two rooms we booked were excellent. breakfast was brilliant felt very warming and caring. no rush or hassle in the morning. perfect relaxation we needed. Home made orange juice and cereals, beckon & eggs for the breakfast. wished we had dinner service too. Worth a money! I would certainly visit back again. Roger & Anne thank you for great experience. Hope you two are well. :)

From the moment we arrived at Gables Retreat until the time we left we were treated as special guests and nothing was too much trouble. This retreat was perfect with beautifully decorated interiors with en-suite to all rooms. A huge heated swimming pool of the backdeck with breathtaking views into the Valley.

Irish coffee and homemade cake on our arrival, a full English breakfast (bacon and egg, etc), with a selection of cereal, delicious freshly squeezed juice, homemade fruit salad, yogurt and several different breads.

Leaving Gables and saying farewell to Anne and Roger was like saying goodbye to old friends. I am certain we will return for more of their excellent hospitality. Thank you Anne and Roger.

Room tip: Great spot for golfers as its opposite Wentworth Falls Country Club.
