The Hermitage is just wonderful - a picturesque, comfortable hideaway set in Kurrajong's beautiful rolling countryside. The cottage is adorable, the gardens stunning. John and Peter are perfect hosts, welcoming, helpful and thoughtful. It's a working farm too, with cows and chooks. Generous breakfast included with fresh eggs, bacon, everything you need. Kitchen facilities are simple but fine for cooking your own meals, or there are good restaurants close by (driving distance). Go bushwalking, have a glass of wine on the lawn at dusk, build yourself a roaring fire, feel the serenity!

What a fabulous place! We (my husband, our labrador pup, and I) stayed here for two nights and what a wonderful two nights they were. Beautiful location, lovely hosts and a truly breathtaking cottage. Spacious kitchen and living areas, the comfiest beds I've ever experienced in a B&B and the most picturesque views. And all in a place where we could bring our pup, what a treat! We will definitely be returning one day.
Great out of the way location which doesn't take long to get to. Had a great time. Very peaceful.
Lovely relaxing weekend at this cosy and comfortable cottage, just over an hour's drive from Sydney. Beautiful country location with great views from the sitting room and bathroom. Lovely wood burner in addition to regular heating kept the winter chill at bay. Generous breakfast provisions and friendly hosts. Our dogs had a ball and we feel totally relaxed!
We stayed here as a couple and enjoyed the cottage with its lovely character, gorgeous gardens and comfortable accommodation. The house has kept its historical Australian charm and it was interesting to hear of the original family who lived in it before. We found the quiet setting the perfect place to unwind and relax. The bathroom has a window with a view over green farmland but a minor negative is that you have to go onto the verandah to access it. We didn't mind as it was wasn't cold but could be challenging on a cold winter morning. The cottage is comfortable and has freshly laid eggs and everything else needed to cook your own breakfast. The surrounding area has some nice restaurants and the drive to Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens and the Megalong Valley are excellent. The hosts are welcoming and friendly and ensure that you have a delightful break on their well groomed property.
