Its a Marstons managed pub and having been to other Marstons places, this was just as good. Three course lunch for £5.85 ... you cant beat it. Not banqueting quantities but just right for our light lunch which turned out to be not so light. How can you go wrong? There is a vast menu suitable for every taste. It'll take a long time to decide what you may fancy. The Crows Nest is spacious and clean and staff were very pleasant.

This last year has been a disaster for the pub to say the least, the two guys who made it a good place to go, and since then, the franchise has change hands twice with the new encumbants on a course and as yet not in charge, however this Sunday went for a carvery and although not outstanding was well cooked fresh veg and to my mind above average overall, one criticism, which I voiced to the chef was the cauliflower stalk was a little to all denti for my liking. Big deal and would be churlish to condemn the rest of what was an enjoyable meal. I will reserve judgement and overall critique until the new management has been in place for a reasonable time one recommendation though keep the chef.

Went here at lunch time today. It wasn’t overly busy food wait was over 30 mins it arrived and u could tell the burgers were microwaved and it wasn’t overly warm either. And watch ur tables there was chewing gum stuck all over them underneath. It’s very dated inside now needs a good tidy up in my opinion!
