Description: The Green Man is a stylish pub, bar and restaurant located in the village of Middleton, Tamworth. Offering exquisite fine dining, an expansive drinks menu, and contemporary interiors within a unique setting, The Green Man offers the perfect place to relax, refuel, and socialise, all year round. Developed by our highly skilled and experienced chefs, our extensive menu offers something to delight every palette, whatever the occasion. From light lunchtime dishes, starters, and sharing platters, though to classic main dishes, freshly made pizzas, and handmade burgers – there really is something for everyone. Our expansive outdoor garden is ideal for dining al fresco in the summer months, or enjoying a sun soaked drink with friends after a long, hard day at work. We’re family friendly so feel free to bring your little ones and if you require wheelchair access that isn’t a problem. If you’re driving, we have a convenient onsite car park that will allow you to park securely.

We visited the restaurant today and the service was appalling. We waited an hour and 15 minutes for our main course to arrive and when they arrived they were cold which was massively disappointing as we didn’t have time to wait for them to be recooked.

Whilst the staff are friendly they are not prompt in making sure your order is taken and you have drinks.

Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend a visit as I feel it’s extremely over priced for the overall service and food you get.

It was our first time at visiting The Green Man and it definitely will not be the last lovely country pub, welcoming atmosphere warm and cosy very busy advice not to turn up for a meal as you may be disappointed book in advance as they get so busy. The meal we had was one of the best I've ever had we were advised to have the fish and chips highly recommended the fish was HUGE it was served on a wooden tray over the top of the best chips I've had in a very long time served with mushy peas and homemade tartare sauce I looked at the size of it in shock lol as it was so big , the rest of the menu is equally as good my daughter and her partner had pizza which is cooked in a authentic pizza oven which is in the bar downstairs , would not hesitate to say that everything on the menu is equally as good as what we had. If I could give this pub ten stars plus I would try it and see for yourself you will not be disappointed.

The Green Man, in Middleton, used to be one of our haunts when we were courting (going out), some 35 years ago. It was one of the "in" places of that time known for its great food (especially the steaks) and good beer and was always packed out until the owner of the time got caught out selling horse meat when customers thought they were eating beef steak! The steaks were delicious!!!!
Those days are long gone and now The Green Man is an M&B gastro pub on the same lines as the Green House, Mere Green and the Whittington Arms, but smaller.
The menu is impressive, catering for Vegans, Vegetarians and all dietary requirements to suit all tastes. Specials are also available.
We visited on Easter Sunday 2018. We had:
2 roast chicken dinners, extra vegetables.
1 x 8oz rump steak, side asparagus
1 x mini apple & blackberry crumble & coffee
1 x vanilla ice cream
1 x handmade Belgium chocolates & coffee
Cider, prosecco, tonic water
The meal was excellent, well done to Sharron and the team in the kitchen, and the service was also very good.
The Green Man is situated in the lovely village of Middleton and has an outdoor seating area overlooking the countryside, making a lovely setting for the up and coming warm summer evenings :) with a cool beer or long G&T.
Here's to the new team at the Green Man returning it to its former glory days.
