“Cosy, comfy, perfect”
Reviewed 10 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

So delighted to have found Springfield Barn. Immaculate, cosy and homely retreat. So much bigger than expected and excellent value for money.

Stayed here when visiting Alton Towers with our children. Only a few minutes drive away and lots of lovely restaurants nearby too.

Well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, fabulous roll top bath. A travel
Cot and high chair would have been handy to save us having to bring our own.

Would most definitely recommend and will certainly be back. Thank you

The cottage was beautiful. Had everything we needed. Great kitchen. The bath was luxurious. Beds were comfortable. Everything was provided, including milk for our first cup of tea.

“Great Value & Well Hidden Gem”

Stayed here as a base to get to Alton Towers and it was ideal. Very reasonably priced and pretty much everything we needed for our break.

One negative is it was a bit cold when we arrived but we were able to rectify that fairly easily. Another issue was just how hard it is to find the place via Sat Nav using the postcode. Luckily we found it in the end but I'd advise checking it out thoroughly before you leave and don't follow Sat Nav blindly (which we did).

That said, it is very clean and tidy, has a great bathroom, wifi and even has an old games console and some board games and books to keep the family entertained. The level of space available was also surprising. Definitely more space than the pictures would lead you to believe is available! Communication from the team was good and we would certainly look to visit again and use next time we're going to the theme park.

Great for a family with kids but not really young children as the stairs are quite steep.

Will stay again.

“Beautiful cottage”

Springfield Barn is a beautiful, well equpped cottage. The quality of the kitchen and bathroom fittings are very luxurious, and it was much more spacious than we expected. Beds and sofas were comfortable and there was plenty of storage. It is really close to the pretty village of Alton and there is a pub nearby on the main road, A car is essential though, it seemed it would be difficult to walk anywhere useful due to the lack of any pavements on the busy main road. The cottage itself is very peaceful and feels more remote than it actually is. A little tricky to find in the dark, but we made it. Only thing missing was a proper shower as there is just an attachment over the (stunning) roll top bath. Highly recommend the cottage, and this lovely part of England.
