“Perfect stay, no going back to hotels for us!”
Reviewed 4 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

My 3 year old and I stayed at Sweethills for 3 nights while visiting Cbeebies land.
You need a car, as it's very rural, we loved driving passed the sheep and cows each day on the way to and from the park.
Dorothy and John were very hospitable, and left us milk in the fridge, some chocs, tea and coffee.
John brought round a slide and sandpit for my son to play with in the garden.
Alton Towers is less than 10 mins drive away, and there is a Londis minimart and a post office in Alton village for groceries etc.
If we visit the area again, we will definitely stay here, it was breathtakingly beautiful and very peaceful.

Fantastic stay everything we needed and more!! The location was great for our trip to Alton Towers and we also visited the local pub which served great sized meals. We received two tickets at Alton towers which are valid until November so we will definitely be returning to this beautiful accommodation.

This self-catering accommodation is comfortable, quiet and set in an area of beautiful countryside. Just the place to get away from it all and enjoy lovely walks. Don't miss the wonderful ruins of Croxden Abbey just down the road.

“A little gem - cosy and cute in a beautiful spot!”

Stayed here with husband for a mini break to Alton towers. Couldn't have asked for anything more - gorgeous tranquil location with stunning views, and very nicely decorated and cosy interior. Everything you want to get away from busy life! The garden area is superb, and free wifi too. The owner was really friendly and we felt right at home. The property is surrounded by sheep and we loved watching the little lambs trot about! We both slept incredibly well, and wouldn't hesitate to return.
