“All about the location”

We loved this cottage. Its in a great location, easy walk to the village which has several nice places to eat including a great pub and a great gastro pub doing great fine dining. There is also loads to do it the surrounding area including many great walk available right from the front door.
The cottage is dog friendly and Exmoor is one of the most dog friendly areas we have been to.

The Coach House is just a short walk into Dulverton. As dog owners we were particularly impressed with both the house and Dulverton where dogs are welcome in The Bridge Pub and even cafès and restaurants.

The Coach House is just perfect for a couple and a dog and it would be trite to complain about anything. The facilities are second to none and it's a lovely place to come home to at the end of days out. The owner goes to great lengths to ensure that every need is catered for. We'd definitely return.

“Lovely Characterful Cottage”
Reviewed 19 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Within a five minutes riverside walk of Dulverton, this charming well furnished cottage has everything you need for a perfect break. Dulverton is very dog friendly including a brilliant pub; The Bridge Inn which provides excellent quality food and has an extensive menu, and there are many other places to eat locally. There are many walks from the door of this cottage. Ideal for two people and dog. The shared parking space on the drive could be a problem if you have a large vehicle, but there is 24 hr parking available in Dulverton, a short walk at £4.50 per day should parking at the cottage be a problem.

So glad you had you had an enjoyable stay & went away with happy memories. Dulverton is a quintessential Exmoor town which has everything but is surrounded by such wonderful countryside. It was unfortunate that both yourself & our often absent neighbour, both had very large vehicles to park in the private parking area but everyone was very accommodating, so no one needed to make alternative arrangements. It is not a situation that has occurred previously & probably won't happen again. The vast majority of time our guests have the private parking area, which measure larger than the average supermarket spaces, to themselves. So pleased that this issue did not detract from your enjoyment overall.

“Perfect”
Reviewed 11 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

A cottage that has everything. Character, space and charm. Set close to a beautiful town with all you could ask for. Not just dog friendly but dog loving, all the pubs and restaurants we went to welcomed our lab. This was the first time we'd ever tried a holiday with our dog. This cottage and Dulverton made it pure pleasure. Somerset must be the most dog friendly county in the UK.

Wow! Colin what a wonderful review - thank you. It is true though, our dogs are very much a part of our families and it is great that they can be a part of our holiday time too. Wildlife, animals and countryside are just woven into the fabric the makes Exmoor so special. So delighted to hear you had the perfect holiday.

“Really great cottage”
Reviewed 15 November 2016 for a stay in November 2016

A great location for walking into the lovely town of Dulverton. Lots of lovely places to eat & enjoy the local Exmoor ale without driving. Lots of info on days out etc provided by the owner. Little things like the quality of the linen, the constant hot water, the quirky antiques on display and the general atmosphere of the cottage contributed to our enjoyment.

It is a beautiful autumn , the colours of the leaves and bracken are stunning.Tthe walks from the cottage through the woods were so uplifting, coming back to the cosy cottage for tea & cake made it a really wonderful break.
The cottage has parking which is a real bonus.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & hope to visit again.
