This was the first time we had taken our dogs on holiday so we chose this cottage. It was perfect and our fur babies were catered for as well as we were. The cottage is cosy and comfortable with a lovely log burner for chilly evenings. The tea/coffee and cakes were very welcoming along with bonios for the dogs. They were also provided with dog beds and bowls. They had thought of everything and the cottage is very well laid out if you arrive back with wet or muddy dogs, with the choice of two entrances to dry them off before they enter the main part of the cottage. We were all very relaxed, the surrounding area is beautiful, with Wimbleball lake a ten minute drive away which has a fantastic walk all the way around it. We would definately return and hopefully spend a little longer here next time.

“Cosy welcoming cottage”

This cosy little cottage was very welcoming - thanks for the cake and dog biscuits! It was very well equipped and a real bonus to have a log burner with some logs included.
It is very dog friendly as the garden is enclosed and private. It is positioned very well for access to Exmoor, lovely pubs, walks and the beach although a car is essential for all of these.
I would definitely return as I think it was good value for money.

“Lovely cottage with plenty of character”

We stopped at the Old School House in May for a long weekend, the cottage was well equipped and has plenty of character. There is a very nice local pub called the Badgers Hult, they serve lovely food and good local beers. The walk back to the cottage is up a narrow steep hill,so I do not think it would be suitable for people with walking problems. The lovely views of the rolling hills with cows grazing could be seen from the living room window,We had a very enjoyable weekend and hope to return next year.
