If you want a night away in a delightful well apportioned seafront room and a delicious breakfast then this is the place to stay. We stayed in the Wamses room which had ample space for our two dog beds for our Westies. Your door opens up straight outside so idea for the dogs. The room is decorated beautifully and Rob offers a warm welcome. The breakfast was delicious with an offering of all the usual plus chopped fresh fruit and the scrambled egg and salmon were to die for.

My wife and I have just come back from two nights at St Aidan’s, it was excellent, the room was spacious, we stayed in Brownsman, with a good size bath and over head shower, there is plenty of cupboard and drawer space. The room is in an annex which means you have your own key so you can come and go as you please. Rob met us in the car park and was very friendly as are all the staff. The view are fantastic you can see all the way to Bamburgh Castle, the beach and sea are 10 metres from the front door of the hotel. The food is very good, there are plenty of choices at breakfast and it is all cooked to order, with cereals, fruit juices and fresh fruit laid out. We eat in the Bistro on the Saturday night, the food was excellent, a smallish menu but that means the food is cooked to perfection, we both had the slow cooked beef which was tender and full,of flavour, good sized portions too, it was a tribute to James, the chef that all the tables were booked, also locals eat here so it must be good. I think St Aidan’s is so good because Rob, Tegan and all the members of staff are so friendly and helpful, also they find time to answer any questions about the local area. It is great to see a small staff team making such a difference, thank you all for our stay, hopefully we will see you again in the spring.

Having read TA reviews, we booked for 4 nights and were not disappointed!
Great responsiveness via email for booking which is so helpful.
Easy to find, warm welcome and fabulous location, with amazing views, including Bamburgh Castle, which looked stunning.
We walked for miles, along the (almost!) deserted sands, and also took the boat out to the Farne Islands, which very conveniently departs from the harbour just along the road.
The room was very tastefully decorated and comfortable, with lovely tea/coffee/biscuits
We ate in the bistro one evening, and the meal was delicious, with excellent service.
Breakfasts were amazing! And again, excellent service.
All in all, a fantastic find, and we shall return - would definitely recommend!
