“A wonderful, relaxing break”
Reviewed 27 February 2012 for a stay in October 2011

Kittiwake is a cosy, characterful cottage in a great location. It is just minutes from the harbour, shops and restaurants. In fact we parked the car and didn't use it again for the rest of our stay. There are plenty of places to eat out in Seahouses but if you want to cook, the kitchen at Kittiwake is equiped with everything you could possibly need. The log burner in the cosy lounge was very welcome after a windy hike along the beach. The sea air and comfortable beds meant we slept very well and left with our batteries recharged. We will certainly be back.

“Perfect base for exploring Northumberland”
Reviewed 25 February 2012 for a stay in July 2010

We spent a week at Kittiwake with two teenage boys. The cottage was ideal for us: comfortable, cosy, extremely well equipped and presented. It's only a few minutes walk from shops, pubs and the beach. We had a fantastic time playing Crazy Golf; beach cricket and barbeque; trip to Farne Islands; walks along beach to Beadnell and Bamburgh; trip to Alnwick (fantastic secondhand bookshop - Barter Books); and a trip to Cragside (first house in the world to be lit using hydroelectric power). We had a very packed week. Note: we went back for a long weekend in November 2011, and were equally impressed with the cottage - the woodburner was a definite asset, as were the DVDs, games and books.

“Perfect getaway from the daily grind”
Reviewed 11 February 2012 for a stay in January 2012

A very enjoyable short break in a beautiful part of the country. We arrived to a very cosy and comfortable house with all the facilities we needed. The kitchen was excellently equipped and the woodburner in the sitting room was lovely to relax in front of with a glass of wine after a long stroll down one of the many stunning and deserted beaches. Beds were very comfortable and with all the fresh sea air we slept like logs! The little one enjoyed the penny arcades in the village and there are pleny of places to eat and drink. What a shame we had to go home!
