The five nights we stayed at Julie & Eric`s B & B was just so warm, comfortable and beyond the normal B & B reception. We were met by Julie & Eric - they took our cases in, made us tea & coffee & provided us with the street parking pass. Breakfast - "Northumberland Special" - was outstanding - fresh fruit/full breakfast - set us up for the day!! Clean bedding & towels every day - nothing was too much trouble. The recommendation to eat at the Sour Grapes - just over the road - proved to be good - owned by Sue - again -great value & so happy to serve!!
We have stayed in many B & B`s/Hotels - this one is well up the list as 5*.

Room Tip: Ask for a river view.

Spent three days here, what can I say that hasn't already been said, well it is excellent, great value, on arrival met with the famous cuppa and bit of cake, and shortbread fingers and biscuits,
The hosts are among the friendliest couple you will ever come across and a credit to the good people of Northumberland , my bed was very comfortable and I had trouble getting out of it lol,
Very well positioned to explore the town and surrounding area, close to local bars and restaurants , fir those who gave never visited Northumberland, do yourself a favour and book this b&b, it's fair to say that I've only ever met them once but I felt like I had known them for years
When Keith or Julie ask if you want a full English , make no mistake, that is exactly what you are going to get, leave time to let it settle,it's seven in the evening as I write this and I still feel full.
Now, I wonder if they will adopt me ? Lol

I suppose it is the British psychie to find fault with everything and moan so here goes.

Initial welcome, well, a cup of coffee and a bit of cake was most welcome. No worries about getting the bill sorted out, just chill and chat.

The building - old-fashioned, quirky, clean, tasteful

The room - well laid out, nice shower and wow, lots of nice smellies, not the usual small bottles. LIke it !

Evening meal - went to the local chinky (the one bad thing I did) and also had a G & T in a tin. The lady of the house kindly provided a lot of ice to aid my G&T / digestion. Nice touch and well received.

The bed - I rarely sleep well when travelling because no bed is like the bed at home. Well, what can I say, I went to bed, the TV was a tad to small for my fading eyesight but, if it were not for the police helicopter overhead no doubt looking for someone at 0430, I would have slept through till 0730. A really good nights sleep in a lovely comfortable bed

Breakfast, was this going to be a full English versus a defibrillator. No, it was lovely. No grease, good foot, tasty and filled me up for the day.

All in all, well worth the stay and I shall certainly be ringing to see if they have a room. Highly recommended.

Wonderful bed and breakfast in the heart of Morpeth, comfortable, clean and the owners are so friendly and helpful. They were amazing with my elderly Mother who was with us for the weekend and couldn't do enough for us. I would definitely recommend this lovely place to anyone.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back have a wonderful view.

We arrived on a cold February afternoon to a warm and friendly welcome. The tea and cakes were most welcome after a long journey. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with a pleasant view over the river and green at the rear of the premises. It was warm throughout and despite being on the main road heard no noise and enjoyed a comfortable nights sleep. The breakfast was excellent and can thoroughly recommend the full english breakfast as you will not need anything for lunch ! All in all a lovely place to stay, we were there for a couple of nights and will definitely be back. Excellent hosts

Room Tip: The rooms at the back have a better view, than the ones at the front overlooking the main street
