First impressions were great. Nicely decorated, reasonable prices and a good atmosphere. However, having booked a table it took some time for us to be seated and an extra half an hour for our order to be taken.

When the starters eventually arrived they were great, but the wait was unacceptable. There was then an entire hour in between the starter and main, such a shame because the food was very nice and good value.

The staff did not seem to have any organisation and looked like lost puppies. Clearly this is something the management team needs to sort out.

Ridiculous!!!! Came here two adults and two children. First impression, thought the whole place was quirky and the decor was amazing.
After reading reviews we anticipated a slight wait for food, though we were looking forward to it.
When finally shown our table, twice we sent back the kids lemonade. Twice other people's food was put down in front of us. After an hour the people (who were not there when we sat down) were ready to leave already!
Then we complained and here we were met by a man who was very uprupt and defensive. All the while my 8 year old is crying because she is hungry!!!
The steak came out over cooked. (orderd as medium rare)

The food when it arrived was nice, we could not fault it. Though our experience was already ruined.

In the end the manager tried her best to make our experience better and was very pleasent.

Would we return?
..... jury is still out?

Visited on 5th April 2018.

From the outside it looked fantastic, modern and clean. Even the interior looks great. When we asked for a table for 2, we were directed to the bar for 10 minutes whilst they found a table.

We were then shown to a table for 6/7 people, and felt like we were having to chase the manager to keep up with him to get to the table. We were given a food menu, but no drinks menu.

After waiting round for 10 minutes we were able to get the attention of a waitress and asked for a drinks menu, she told us to wait 2 minutes then turned up with an A5 sheet of paper that listed around 10 wines. No soft drinks listed, no lagers, ciders or anything else on the drinks menu.

Another point to note was the music. It was blaring Italian Opera at a level way too loud for a restaurant. We had to raise our voices above it for a normal conversation.

The waitress then disappeared and after waiting a total of 15-20 minutes, we left.

Heard it’s a new opening restaurant, appears they’ve got all the foundations, just a dramatically lacking standard of customer service and hospitality.

I desperately hope they turn it around and bring up the standard. With such a great venue and position in the high street, it would be a shame to see it shut down.

Main points to note:
- too long waiting for menu’s
- ignored for 15-20 minutes
- no smile or polite conversation from waiting staff
-no passion or character

We ordered the lunch special which I think is amazing value for the price. The potato skins were lovely and we couldn’t get enough of the dips provided with them. The pasta dishes are also delicious, we tried the lasagna and bolognese. The only downside was that they seemed majorly understaffed. There was one young lady and one gentleman taking the entire restaurants drink orders and food orders, and then bringing these orders to the table. This meant there was quite a bit of a wait for drinks to arrive. It did affect the whole experience a little, however it won’t stop us eating here again.
