“Like being at home, but better!”

We recently enjoyed a week long stay in Peaseblossom House and found it hard to tear ourselves away. From the minute we arrived we felt right at home; the house is spacious, comfortable, clean and well-equipped.

We especially appreciated the welcome pack of chocolate, cake, cookies and wine. The owners Viv and Louise are brilliant at getting right all the little touches that make a difference and are always a pleasure to deal with.

The location is great, quiet and yet a very short walk to the town centre and Alnwick Gardens and Castle. We're already booking for next summer!

“A house you would want to live in.”
Reviewed 1 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

After a long journey, we opened the door to find such a pretty house with every comfort imaginable. Every room is a delight and the little courtyard garden is charming. Beds very comfortable, light and airy with plenty of space and double aspect to lounge and main bedroom. Welcome pack of wine, chocolate, biscuits and milk much appreciated.

The area is fantastic for getting around. A few minuites walk into the town with so many places to eat, and of course, the Alnwick Castle and Gardens. To travel from Lisburn Street in any direction gives easy access to the area around.

Booking was easy with good communication from the owners. They could not be more helpful. A great place to stay.

“Great - would have paid more”
Reviewed 4 April 2014 for a stay in March 2014

Peasblossom House is a delight... from the moment you step in the front door to find a wonderful welcome pack (card, sparkling wine, biscuits, chocolate...)... and throughout your stay.

The rooms are spacious and meticulously clean. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly think of (we did our own cooking). The bed is very comfortable - and the bath luxurious.

The cottage itself is only 5-10 minutes' walk from the centre of town - and Alnwick is not only a great centre for visiting the region, it has numerous great attractions itself.

I operate two of my own holiday lets in London... and definitely picked up some ideas from Viv and Louise on things that could be done to enhance a guests stay. They bring the personal touch and we could not have asked for more.

I would have been happy to pay a higher price for the comfort and welcome we received...

“Absolutely fantastic!”
Reviewed 10 August 2013 for a stay in August 2012

I stayed in Peaseblossom House last year with my husband and 13 year old son. I knew as soon as I saw the pictures that this was going to be a great holiday. The owners, Viv & Louise were more than helpful right from the start. When we arrived we were greeted with a little gift of wine, chocolate and biscuits which was a lovely gesture. The whole house was lovely and the beds were so luxurious. We were supplied with absolutely everything from glasses to a toast rack. The house was close to the town with easy access. I can't fault a thing! Thank you so much Viv & Louise for an excellent holiday.
