I was there for a family gathering and afternoon tea , and we were so well catered for and so well looked after ..... you are made so welcome that you feel like you are part of their family. Nothing is too much trouble - in fact they bend over backwards to make you as comfortable as possible .
As it was my husbands special birthday, they made this amazing birthday cake....
My husband and I also stayed there for the night and the room was very spacious, and immaculately clean.... the en suite was very modern and good quality fittings ...
The evening meal was delicious and all locally sourced food.....
Breakfast was equally delicious and so many choices . We even had a morning paper and an Easter egg ( Easter weekend)....
Would highly recommend staying here and/or afternoon tea... there is a timeless quality about the place and old fashioned manners & service. Can’t wait to return

Excellent Yorkshire breakfast today, enjoyed the well cooked local produce and friendly service. Called in unexpectedly but we were made very welcome and we will definitely return with more family members and sample the full dining experience.

Delicious afternoon tea. Warm scones, clotted cream etc in a lovely setting and friendly but professional service. Walked in the garden afterwards. It's all very traditional in the best way. Lastingham is a very attractive village. Visit the ancient church which has a fascinating crypt.

Room Tip: Choose a fine day if possible and enjoy the surroundings.

Somehow the Grange manages to be off the beaten track yet in the middle of things. Spend your day exploring National Trust properties, medieval churches, and the moors, then come back here for great food, especially afternoon tea!

... she would have a country house like this! Quaint, cosy and very peaceful. Just up the lane you are on top of the moor. The brothers are always available on reception to help out. Good great, lovely terrace & gardens. Big play area, from some years ago. Perfect.
