“Very quick lovely food..”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 April 2012

we found the restaurant looking for Mother Shiptons Cave. Situated on the bridge and by the river. the different in price between takeaway and sit in was unbelievable, a set meal for 2 will cost £46 to eat in yet £25 to take away!

The restaurant is set in a conservatory with views of the river. Although they have some drinks on draught, my partner was quite disapointed that his pint was out of a can. After ordering the food it arrived within 10 mins on a table top warmer.

when you eat in a restaurant and expect chicken, you do not expect it to be 8 or 9 bits of plastic processed chicken,to charge £9 for the main is an insult to all the chinese meals i have ever had, i spent £29 on 2 mains 1 boiled & 1 fried rice and 1 chow mein with 1 lager and jug of water.i work away alot and for what i got this was only worth £15 AT THE MOST,poor very poor

“Wonderful Chinese Restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 December 2011

I chose this restaurant because my friend is a coeliac and usually has to just eat rice dishes when we have chinese, however this is not the case at this wonderful restaurant, alot of the dishes can be prepared gluten free and take no longer to prepare than other dishes, we had prawn crackers, chilli sticky spare ribs and chicken and mushroom pancakes to start, followed by six delicious main courses with rice and chips, everyone agreed it was the best chinese they had ever had, the service was excellent even though the restaurant was full, I would recomend making a reservation if you want to make sure you get a table but they also do take-aways, there is plenty of parking on the riverside, if you are coming from Harrogate you head down the A59 down to Knaresborough bridge and look out for the building on the left after the bridge with black and white squares on. Give it a try, I`m sure you`ll love it too.
