“The Sheepfold @ Pry House farm.”
Reviewed 27 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We have just had our thirteenth family holiday in ten years at the Sheepfold & will be back for more. This is a very special corner of our country, quiet & peaceful, with natural beauty all around; yet close to the little market town of Hawes which is convenient for shopping & great dining. Our hosts at Pry House farm, Allan & Jennifer, are ever ready to provide information on the area, including the odd medical emergency! The accommodation in the Sheepfold is great in all respects & enjoyed by all of our family members. We just never tire of this place & its surroundings & try to visit twice a year to get our "holiday fixes". I cannot speak highly enough about this place.

“The Sheepfold is fantastic”
Reviewed 12 June 2016 for a stay in May 2016

The Yorkshire Dales has always been a special place for us but this time we decided to try a different accommodation to the one we normally use and we hit the jackpot with The Sheepfold @ Pry House Farm. From the moment we arrived (and were greeted with fresh farm eggs as a welcome gift) to the moment we left the whole experience was magical. Allen and Jennifer are warm, friendly hosts and our young children were treated to feeding the chickens and watching the Cows being milked (happy memories)

The Sheepfold is a tastefully converted barn, spotlessly clean with oodles of rustic charm and all the mod cons we need with three young children. The cross-country walk to Hawes (via The Green Dragon Hardraw) quickly became our well-worn path and the doorway to exploring the surrounding area. Allen and Jennifer were always willing to chat and recommend local restaurants/pubs/places of interest all of which proved to be worthwhile visits. I can’t recommend The Sheepfold highly enough, we immediately re-booked for next year.

“Great cottage, great place”
Reviewed 16 October 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We had a lovely week in the Sheepfold; the cottage is well equipped and comfortable, we were greeted by Jennifer and shown round the cottage, her husband Alan has a great wealth of knowledge about the area and told us the best walks and the best restaurants.
The Sheepfold is perfectly placed for walking, the Pennine Way only a short walk up hill behind the cottage, Ingeborough, Wernside and Pen-y-ghent are not far away and lots of waterfalls to visit
We had never been to Yorkshire but we will be returning again soon.

“Perfect cottage in a great location”
Reviewed 3 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

What a fantastic location - and a beautiful cottage. The cottage was even better than the photos which was a nice surprise. The kitchen was well equipped, and the patio at the front of the house was a lovely sun trap which we made use of throughout our stay. Comfy sofas and a great shower - which were appreciated after a good walk. There were some lovely walks in the surrounding area - and the small village of Hardraw was only a 30 minute walk over the fields, with a good tea room and a pub on the site of the Hardraw Force waterfall. The town of Hawes was also nearby with a variety of shops, pubs etc. Jennifer and her family were extremely welcoming and accommodating but not intrusive. We couldn't be happier with our stay and hope to return soon.

“If Yorkshire is God's Country, then this is God's Favourite place.”

The Sheepfold cottage was everything - and more - that I wanted. I was looking for a cottage in the country away from it all, but not that far away, with peace and quiet and fresh air.
The cottage is exactly as the pictures and description: clean, light and spacious, well thought out, good quality furnishings and bedding, and all your home comforts (freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, along with all the usual), TV with SKY box, wifi router, the list goes on!
Safe to say, we lacked nothing and loved the cottage.
There are many interesting things quite literally within walking distance (Wensledale creamery, Hardraw waterfall, Hawes town with quaint little museum, etc.). The lake district is only one hour away, and you don't need a satnav or even a map.
The walks along the path (especially the Penine way) was wonderful.
The cottages have many return visitors and I can see why, one week just wasn't enough - we will definitely be back!
