We recently had a family wedding at the newly refurbished Humber Royal and can honestly say it was faultless from start to finish!! Everything from initial consultations through to breakfast next morning was perfect. The hotel itself looks a bit nasty from outside but give it a chance and go in....you wont be sorry! The whole place has been refurbished and redecorated to a very high standard and is lovely and bright and modern. The rooms are large and bright with views over the golf course, some even have balconies! We had an excellent nights sleep followed by a delicious buffet style breakfast in the brasserie. If you are planning a wedding in the area then go and see Elizaan, she is polite, helpful and knowledgable. We had a lovely sit down meal in the afternoon followed by an excellent buffet at the evening reception, even the inclusive wines were very nice!! The Humber Royal have a real asset in their staff who are polite, friendly and very efficient.(Natalie ran the wedding reception with humour and efficiency) We have held quite a few family functions at the Humber Royal over the years (starting with our own wedding reception 26 years ago!!) and they have always done us proud. We also eat in the brasserie quite often and the food and service are always very good.

Room Tip: The 4 corner rooms are very large. Some of the rooms have balconies.

Dear Cooper family
Well what I can say except.....Wow and thank you very much. A dream review and I'm absolutely delighted you enjoyed so many aspects of your stay. Making our guests feel welcome is obviously of paramount importance and feedback such as yours gives us all a tremendous buzz and keeps us positive on those long weeks when we have weddings and events every day.
We are very proud of our reputation for weddings and celebrations, it’s so encouraging to know that you have been supporting the hotel over the years and have witnessed our evolvement into Grimsby’s premier hotel. Your loyalty and support is very much appreciated. You’re so right in pointing out that any businesses main asset is their staff and I must thank you for highlighting Elizaan and Natalie - they are both so passionate about their roles and always take personal ownership to ensure guests receive the best service possible- I’ll make sure they are rewarded!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write your review, we look forward to seeing you again soon when you’ve recovered from your hectic celebrations.
Kind regards

Our experience reflects that of others who have already posted reviews. Building is less than appealing on arrival, but once inside we found the hotel has excellent rooms, dining facilities and bar, but most of all the most naturally pleasant and helpful staff.

Thank you for your wonderful comments following your visit to the hotel as part of a wedding party. We are a prime wedding venue for the area and have a fantastic patio area with great photo opportunities at the rear of the building. As you point out our building cannot really be described as pretty on arrival, but visitors can be assured it’s well worth crossing over the threshold where a warm welcome and first class facilities will great them. It may be worth you returning to the hotel for a leisure break when you may have more time to enjoy the hotel facilities further and explore the local area – the North East Lincolnshire coastline has lots to offer.
Kind regards

We visited yesterday lunchtime (Sat) as a family group of 7 and ranged in ages from 11 to 70. We were a little apprehensive about the food but we needn't have worried. Although a little more expensive than normal pub food everything was more than worth it. The food was all freshly cooked and a lot of it was definitely home-made e.g the red onion and goats cheese tartlet, the vegetable soup and chicken parfait. The main courses were large and I can recommend the haddock with chips and minted mushy peas (the tartar sauce also tasted home-made). Service was friendly. I cannot comment on the childrens menu as we all ate from the adult menu. The restaurant was tastefully decorated in lime green and brown and had a view through the french windows of the golf course. on a nice day it would've been lovely to sit out.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review the Brasserie at the Humber Royal following your recent visit. I'm thrilled you enjoyed the experience and thanks for all the fabulous comments. You are so right to point out how lovely it is to sit out on the patio dining or drinking with the breathtaking fairway views. Now that you’ve found us we hope to see you again soon.

Dear Sonja and Roy
I don't think you realise quite how much your comments mean to us...thank you so much for the feedback. Yes we do have a lovely product with panoramic views over the golf course; but it is the people who make the difference. We spend a lot of time and effort recruiting, training and motivating the team - your comments are invaluable in confirming that we are getting it right! We hope to see you again when you next visit the area.
Best wishes
