This was a hugely informative and enjoyable visit. The receptionist was extremely friendly and chatty. Firstly took the guided tour around a trawler moored at the dock outside the centre. The ex skipper Dennis led the tour and he was hugely informative and amusing throughout, giving us the benefit of his vast experience.Perhaps a slightly too large a party, but didn't really detract from the tour. Some climbing up and down ladders, through hatches and into narrowish spaces. Fascinating. Then a self tour around the centre, again excellent. It takes you though fishing at sea, what happens on board, when they return to dock and then life in the time period. Lots of sets depicting each stage, with dummies to add some reality, music, sounds and voice overs. Really enjoyed it, price very reasonable. Café also available.
