Pleasant surprise. Only thing worth seeing in the whole of Grimsby apart from the Indians and the 'Spoons.

Fascinating recreations of a steam trawler in the centre plus an excellent tour of the Ross Tiger, a trawler still afloat and built in 1957. Complemented by friendly, welcoming staff with a pleasant cafe.

This is an absolutely top-class example of what a local museum should be. Firstly we toured the Ross Tiger (with guide John) and then went into the Heritage Centre. The job of a trawler-man was clearly fraught with danger & discomfort - and how well this was demonstrated. Wonderful displays, with clear explanations. Very evocative displays of early Grimsby street scenes an added bonus. We also enjoyed lunch in the cafe. Friendly and welcoming staff. Do go, you won't regret it.

We took our two young grand children here they loved it they found it fun and a learning trip you can take children in pushchairs but if you want to go round the trawler you this would not be possible because of the amount of steps

Visited the fishing heritage centre there is a good amount of old fishing equipment from a different age showing the plight of fisherman from a past era. There is a few areas showing streets of Grimsby and how life used to be. There is a lot of very old display exhibits which need updating and the place is very run down that said it is reasonably priced and passes a little time.
