We took our two young grand children here they loved it they found it fun and a learning trip you can take children in pushchairs but if you want to go round the trawler you this would not be possible because of the amount of steps

Visited the fishing heritage centre there is a good amount of old fishing equipment from a different age showing the plight of fisherman from a past era. There is a few areas showing streets of Grimsby and how life used to be. There is a lot of very old display exhibits which need updating and the place is very run down that said it is reasonably priced and passes a little time.

Just visited the museum/tour at 11am this Sunday morning with 6yrs old grandson. Given a warm welcome with good description of the site.
Ron, ex Grimsby fisherman, gave the tour. It lasts about 45 minutes which was just right. Gave anecdotes and answered all questions. Brought out the fact that people bringing in our fish were and are men of steel.
The museum was interesting to both grandson and I. I would have liked to look longer at the exhibits but kids don’t want that. It’s not a large museum but each feature is well constructed and you feel you are on the bridge or the ice room etc.
The cafe is very good, serving excellent drinks and food.
The ladies at the ticket office and cafe are very helpful

Thank Ian B
