Stopped of at the fat giraffe when visiting gawthorpe hall,the place is lovely and well presented inside,the staff are friendly and attentive and the breakfast was very nice,they also do a wide selection of food and everybody seemed to be enjoying it,so this place is well worth s visit if you are in the area,I believe today is the last time they will be open Sunday but they will be open six day a week.Again first time we have been here but the food was very nice.

We wanted to visit Fat Giraffe for a long time after hearing good things. When we arrived the place only had one free table which is always good to see as it looks popular.

From there it went downhill. After finally placing an order we got our drinks. 40 minutes later our drinks were long finished and the food finally arrived. We only ordered two panini’s and chips however the chips didn’t even arrive. The side salad was very dry and had no balsamic or oil to make it edible.

Looking around the cafe less than 1/4 of the people we’re eating despite staff running around like lunatics and that’s why it was full. Everyone waiting.

The panini was actually tasty and that’s why it got 2 stars.

Help, no receipt breakdown scribble on a pad... one cheese pie chips and beans, two children's meals, 1 sparking water, yahoo 1 and 1 banana milkshake....how much? I was charged 19.15. Surely OTT......can you please let me know?

My best friend eats here all the time, so I went with him last month and really enjoyed my breakfast! Cheese and ham omelette, sausage, bacon and mushrooms! Nice and quiet inside on a Tuesday morning. Very good service and fresh food! I’ll make it a regular here

We had been given a voucher for Afternoon Tea at the Fat Giraffe. We were not an easy bunch to cater for (2 vegetarians and 1 vegan, plus 2 meat eaters). The cafe did a special hummus salad with chips and the usual sandwiches for the meat eaters. The cakes were excellent. It was lovely. Very helpful, friendly service too.
