We were only able to stay for one night but would have loved a longer time. The accommodation was bigger than expected, beautifully decorated, very comfortable and a great ensuite shower. We were made to feel very welcome. The surroundings were lovely and in better weather would be able to sit outside to make the most of the garden yet not feel we were intruding. We would definitely go back.
Pickle Cottage is excellent. The property is exactly as described.
Warmly received by Guy on arrival and given a quick tour.
It was cold and wet outside (mid-Feb) but warm and dry inside with underfloor heating and a wood burning stove available.
Lovely quiet country location. Pickle Cottage was a delightful base for five days exploring this corner of Kent.
Plenty of space indoors for the two of us to spread out; sadly the weather was not up to us also enjoying the outdoor seating in the private garden area.
Handy for Sissinghurst, Scotney Castle, Rye and several wineries. Lots of books and leaflets in the cottage with ideas for outings and local walks.
We appreciated having secure parking for our car. We also enjoyed the daily visits from little Kate the dog.
This was the second stay for my mum and I and the first visit for my friend and her mum. Everything was perfect again and it was so lovely to see Kate the Cockapoo again (and Guy, Claire and family of course!)
