We booked a table here. It's very, very small and difficult to get around this restaurant so they appear to be more popular than they actually deserve. As others have said the food is no more than average Thai food, although I guess many patrons haven't eaten real Thai food outside of Margate.
We called on the day to confirm and the owner, who makes a big show of being everybody's best friend, advised us to arrive 10 minutes late as they were very busy. We in fact arrived 5 minutes late and he had let our table, even though he told us to be 10 minutes late. That isn't the bad part. He then started having a go at his poor wife, who was nearly in tears. She rushed off to ask the people who he had greedily given our table to to leave. We insisted we would rather leave than throw the people out who had innocently been given our table. The real reason was we couldn't stomach eating somewhere where the owner spoke to his wife so badly, in public, in front of the whole restaurant.
But then, it is Margate.
