We enjoyed every aspect of our stay; proximity to the beaches and town, but probably appreciated most the unique character of the hotel, its owners, and the attentive friendly service. We especially appreciated a specially prepared table in the bar, so that our dog could be with us for a couple of evening meals. We also enjoyed hearing the Hotels amazing history from its dynamic owner Jane. The rooms are relaxed and reflect the elegant Edwardian period with modern beautifully clean bathrooms.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back face east & get the morning sun; those at the front the setting sun.

I loved my two night stay here. I loved it's quirkyness and the friendly manner of staff and owners alike, Loved the way they called me by my first name whenever I entered the dining room or bar or went through reception. Restaurant was wonderful. Breakfast was an amazing way to start the day. Definitely reccomend this to friends and family wanting a "get away from it all " for a few days.

Just returned back from a night away staying at the walpole...What a stunning hotel full of character and charm .What a surprise to find a hotel with the character it had. Every corner your turned was a new surprise of what you saw.The owner a charming lady called Jane deserves all the credit for what she has built up.All the rooms were different and were so clean. The bed linen was all so stylish to match each individual room. The hotel was recommend to me but what a pleasant surprise when we arrived to see for ourselves. Location is great ample street parking outside the hotel NO charge even nicer. All room have seaviews, Food was great and good value. We started with afternoon cream tea which was delicious and sat out on the veranda which was beautiful setting. This is a must see hotel.. thanks again jane

Room Tip: all rooms were outstanding and all with seaview

wanted to stay in Margate for one night, and have two days at the seaside with our two children. The room was great, and the hotel is unique and very interesting. I would like to stay here again one day I think.
