“Winter Comfort”
Reviewed 6 February 2016 for a stay in January 2016

Whether you go alone, as a couple or a family, for a holiday in or out of season - the result will be the same; Flotsam Cottage will charm you.
On a corner, its curved yellow brick leads from High Street to side street, to seafront. Homely, comfortable, stylishly furnished with a touch of coast and countryside, each level of the cottage offers space and peace.
The front room, cosy with deep settee and warm-upholstered chairs, rug and wood burner, welcomes on a winter day when you might choose television or music - or the alcove bookshelves.
Look through the corner window as light fades and you may see a fiery sunset beyond the High Street roofline as Deal pigeons roost on the old buildings and people walk homeward from shops, cafes and galleries.
The conservation area with its adventurous history, is quiet under the stars with only the song of the wind over the chimney and muted surf.
Tomorrow could be a sparkling day by the sea with a view of France.....

“Cosy Cosy very cosy !!!”
Reviewed 2 July 2015 for a stay in May 2015

This is a delightful cottage on a corner in the main street of Old deal. It is opposite a car park which is a Saturday Market with lots of vendors with variety of foods, flowers plus antiques etc. The cottage has three floors with main bedroom on first floor adjacent to lovely bathroom with shower as well as a seperate bath. On second floor are two bedrooms, the larger double is very light and airy with nice views. Other has two single plus a trundle. Think that a couple with more than two kids would find bedrooms a plenty but squashed for other rooms such as kitchen and lounge (which is on ground floor). The owner is very friendly and witty. House very clean and tidy. Plenty of books and DVD's to entretain, also board games. Minutes, say two or three from shops, pubs and restaurants and cafes as well as esplanade. Would definitely recommend.,

“Lovely Cottage - quiet and right in the heart of Deal”
Reviewed 22 March 2015 for a stay in February 2015

A great location and a charming cottage. Really enjoyed our stay here. Deal Old Town is lovely and Flotsam Cottage is right in the heart of it. The sea, shops, market, restaurants are all right on your doorstep and yet the cottage is quiet. The owner is welcoming and helpful and the cottage was clean and well presented. We had a long stay here and found it a really peaceful and comfortable place to be - would definitely like to return.

“Great place to stay”
Reviewed 2 October 2014 for a stay in September 2014

In the heart of the old town of Deal the cottage is close to shops, pubs, cafes and the beach. It is immaculately furnishde and decorated and has everything you need, and with two double and one single bedroom it is extremely good value.

“Wonderful, cosy cottage near sea and delightful little shops”

Stayed for the fourth time. Lovely cottage, cosy and sympathetically decorated. It's a home from home. The cottage is extremely clean with comfortable beds and very light rooms. It has just had a new bathroom and shower fitted. Very tasteful. It really is a 2 min walk to the sea and to interesting, individual shops. The owners are friendly and a mine of information about the local area as they also live in the town. I am very happy to recommend it.
