We stayed at Pierpoint 1 a two bedroom cottage (more a bungalow). Two adults and a 11yo and 12yo who shared a twin room.
It was clean-ish. The pots and pans seemed to have remnants of previous food on it so had to be washed again. The dining table was sticky so needed a good clean also, but the rest of the place was pretty clean. No Netflix but it had a DVD player so a trip to a charity shop to buy a few cheap DVD’s kept us entertained (we left the DVD’s there for others to use!!).
The site itself seemed relatively empty seen as though it was half term but it was nice not allowing cars directly onto the site. It is clearly a real shame the swimming pool was closed as that would have been a real hit, but instead we played tennis every morning and evening and the courts were actually a good standard!! We didn’t see any clear recycling areas though which miffed us a little.
Location on the island was great. Nearby to Alum Bay, we also drove to carisbrooke castle which kept us entertained for a couple of hours. We walked to Fort Victoria which combined a few shops, complete with old style arcade games and a reptilarium. A coastal walk to Yarmouth (20mins) was easy enough and all in all it accounted to a good break away!!

Would we stay there again? Probably not as we did everything that side of the island but I would recommend it to others.More
