“Perfect retreat”
Reviewed 29 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Fort Victoria Cottages are the perfect retreat for a quiet relaxed holiday. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable, the location is idyllic with views across to the main land. A lovely little patio to sit and eat watching the rabbits in the field in front of the cottages and yachts sailing passed by on the Solent. For dog walkers this is probably the best location we have found as the country park is at the back of the cottage with lovely coastal walks. Almost every pub and restaurant allows dogs in which is such a bonus. We ate out most nights and every meal was good and of a high quality, top tip the seafood is excellent everywhere. Nearest town is Yarmouth which is bustling a busy, there is a lovely Deli selling local produce and amazing bread worth getting there early to have fresh warm bread for breakfast. Little coffee shop next to the post office for he best coffee on the island and delicious brownies.

“Lovely cottage in stunning location”
Reviewed 25 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

If you want a cosy cottage right by the sea the this is perfect! Very well equipped with all you would need for a stress free holiday. The neighbours are very friendly and helpful. You are within walking distance of 2 good café's at Fort Victoria itself and only a short walk along the beach to the lovely town of Yarmouth. You will also be greeted by a lovely dog called Scruffy and a cat called Moriarty who are very friendly and belong to the neighbours. Its a nice little area to stay.

“2nd Stay here - as great as the first”
Reviewed 21 May 2014 for a stay in April 2014

I love these cottages at Fort Victoria...they suit us perfectly. Well placed for a lovely sea-front walk into Yarmouth Town but slightly out of the hustle and bustle. Yarmouth is one of my favourite places on this earth. The cottages have everything you need - they are tasteful and comfortable. The neighbours are friendly and the welcome so very warm at the closest restaurant. I am sure I will return many times.

Reviewed 19 May 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Well equipped and welcoming cottage in a wonderfully quiet and peaceful setting. Beautiful views from the cottage and a fantastic base form which to explore the island - plenty of useful tips provided by the owners. Nothing to fault!

“Perfect cottage for an island getaway”
Reviewed 25 March 2014 for a stay in March 2014

We booked this cottage for a few days holiday and were really pleased that we found it.
The cottage is around a 20 minute walk from the ferry in Yarmouth, and was easy to find. Upon arrival, we were greeted to the beautiful cottage with a bottle of wine and some lovely local apple juice.
Unfortunately the local store in Yarmouth was closed the week we were staying, but it is not too far to walk (or drive) to Freshwater where there are larger stores.
The cottage itself was comfortable, had everything we needed to cook meals and had fantastic views of the Solent, the Fort Victoria Country Park and the many bunnies on the lawn!
For those who aren't driving, it's very connected via regular public transport to all attractions on the island, and lots of places (such as the Needles) are within walking distance.
We would highly recommend this great little cottage for anyone visiting the Isle of Wight.
