We stayed here for the bank holiday weekend and it was absolutely perfect in every way. Clean, comfortable, big, great location and a great host!
When we booked I didn't realise just how beautiful seaview was and the property is a stones throw from the beach and high street. The high street has the most perfect bistro and such a calm feeling about it. The property is right next to a charming little church and there is a garden out the front to enjoy the summer sun.
There wasn't anything here we would have changed and we are grateful to Carole for making everything so easy and perfect!
Great house. Beautifully decorated. Perfect for a family. Terrific location. And Carol was a superstar.
Beautiful house perfect for a family break, Carol was an excellent host and nothing was too much trouble, the homemade produce was the icing on the cake.
Very well presented house, felt very at home straight away. Easy walk to the pebble beach via a lovely cafe. Enjoyed our time on the sandy beach at Ryde, everyone in the local amenities were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a day at Tapnell Farm Park too. We would love to make a return visit to Montrose as it had everything we needed in a holiday home.
We booked this house last minute over the August bank holiday - and were the first to let after an extensive and beautifully done renovation / redecoration.
The house was perfect for our trip with my parents in their late sixties AND my two boys aged 2 and 5. It's a great, easy walking distance both from the lovely beach with views over the Solent to Portsmouth and the charming village of Seaview.
The more-than-little extras on arrival, from a welcoming plate of warm, freshly baked scones, jam and cream, to two sets of buckets and spades and pirate teddy bears really were just an extra-special touch.
Everything in the property itself is beautifully decorated, and perfectly set up - everything one needs in the kitchen, including tea, coffee, fresh milk etc - fully-laden bookshelves and a fantastic, bright, basement den complete with a range of family board games, kid-friendly seating and a super TV.
The small but perfectly formed garden was very pleasant and perfect in which to enjoy a bbq and a late afternoon drink.
The only thing we found wanting was a fish & chip takeaway in Seaview itself - but it's not that sort of village, and we thoroughly enjoyed the fish & chips in the pub overlooking the Solent.
The owner provided great information prior to our stay, such as which ferries to get, and suggesting our train-mad boys might enjoy the steam fair.
