Yelfs is a unique place to stay and socialise. Over the past twenty years I have frequented the bar on too many occasions, my wife might argue. Each time I have found the staff and management excellent and their food is probably the best its ever been at the moment. So for a good value stay or socialise I can recommend it whole heartedly.

Food is quite good but hotel generally tired. Staff make the best of things but I would say the prices are not justifiable. Bar staff and manager Anthony very helpfull but Scottish girl on reception less so.

Can't fault this hotel. Excellent service, excellent rates. Breakfast was generous. Large double room (smoking!!) at the front, very clean and spacious. Plenty warm enough. We spent two nights, Friday and Saturday, the only downside being the noise outside as we are a mature couple but this was not the hotel's fault. A duvet instead of blankets would be nice and a greater choice of TV channels.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back or in the annexe would be quieter

Well done Yelfs for providing a good family room. that myself and my two lads really enjoyed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the service efficient. Room was clean, well furnished, tea & coffee making etc. Breakfast was excellent - I could even order my kippers - a luxury not afforded in many 3* or 4* hotels nowadays. The evening meals were certainly not gourmet, but they were fine. Located a short walk to sea front, so well positioned. Car park was unusually situated, behind a self catering building, but there was room and it was free.
Reasonably priced too for the 3 of us, so I will definitely consider returning.

Room Tip: Family room 24 - one single and two singles (made to a double if needed) with apart dividing wall for some privacy

My memories of this hotels always put a smile on my face but not always for the right reasons. Little tip do not try a d find this hotel using sat nav as you will spend hours going round the one way system! The hotel itself it split into two separate buildings which was slightly amusing however I was delighted that I did not have a room which faced the main street as Ryde people clearly like to sing on Saturdays nights! That aside you get what you pay for from this hotel. Rooms very dated and my single was small but immaculately clean and I had a good night sleep. Breakfast was fantastic all freshly cooked without grease!!!!! If you need a fairly cheap hotel to stay in with no fuss then Yelfs is the hotel for you. Probably would stay again. For amusement factor
