DO NOT USE - get the Wightlink passenger car ferry instead.
We booked tickets in advance and arrived well before the departure time, as advised. We waited outside the terminal and then when we went to go in we were told that our tickets had been sold to someone else.
In fact, they still hadn’t sold the tickets but they refused to let us board and then sold them after we had already argued for five minutes.
This was the last hover crossing of the day, so we were then told to go and get a Wightlink car ferry - which departed two hours later and takes 45 minutes to cross.
This policy is obviously designed to maximise ticket sales but it shouldn’t be allowed.
Absolutely disgusting treatment of someone who has paid in advance.
