We had a lovely week with our 15 month little boy. The Cabin was well equipped, clean, warm and very comfortable. The pool and sauna were just brilliant and we really enjoyed having some family time getting our little boy used to the water. Dave and Gill were lovely and were always on hand if we needed anything. We chose a particularly wet week to visit but still had a lovely time.
We rented the cabin for the weekend for our sons 13th birthday. The main reason was the pool, he loved it! He keeps asking if we can go back :) we also took our 1 year old who also loved pool and fish pond. Gilly and Dave were fantastic host, making sure we had everything we needed. Even going the extra mile and giving our son a present and some yummy goodies on our arrival. Even though the kitchen is small, it is fully stocked with everything you may need. We will definitely be staying again :)
We'd booked the cabin, mainly based on the fact that it had it's own pool, which we knew would entertain our 3 boys (ages 10,9 and 8), and everything else was a bonus!! The Cabin, although small, was plenty big enough for a family of 5 - the older 2 loved the beds up in the eves. It was beautifully presented, and had everything we needed. The pool was bigger than we expected, and definitely a highlight - although we had great weather for the time of year so were out and about all day it was great to use for a couple of hours of an evening. Gill and Dave were great hosts - friendly and had thought of everything. We loved our first stay on the Isle of Wight and would definitely return.

We stayed at the Cabin for one week with 2 children (age 8 and 4) and my dad (aged 71). I can't say enough good things about the cabin, or the owners Gill and Dave. The kids were so excited to arrive at our lovely wooden cabin and it certainly didn't disappoint! It is beautifully maintained and the decor is perfect - homely and cosy. The cabin has everything you need, with the added bonus of the lovely heated pool. The kids swam every day, and made use of the pool floats and toys. Everything is clean and maintained to perfection! Although the cabin is within the owners property, the charm is that Gill and Dave have made the perfect balance of making you feel so welcome, whilst leaving you to enjoy your holiday. Set back in their beautiful garden, Gill and Dave are perfect hosts! They were amazing with our kids - a game of skalectrix and a visit from the tooth fairy when my daughter lost her tooth made this an unforgettable holiday. I really hope we can come back, and would tell anyone considering a visit to the island, to book the cabin (or lodge) quick, quick, quick!!!! As an added bonus, the isle of wight has so much to do for a proper family holiday! We have come home feeling totally relaxed, even though we packed so much into our week!
We have just returned from a fantastic week away. This cabin is a little gem its so lovely to meet such friendly and genuine people (Gilly and Dave) the owners. As we have 4 children its very important to find somewhere safe and fun. the cabin and its grounds where like home from home its so safe and as a parent you can truly relax knowing the kids can explore and enjoy themselves within safe surroundings. We like to explore when we are away but I have to admit we just had several lazy days in the pool, playing bubble blowing in the garden and the children loved collecting acorns and hiding them in the garden for the squirrel to find. ending the days with some lovely bbqs. Everywhere is immaculate from the cabin to the gardens. If you are looking for a peaceful relaxing holiday then look no further and book this. The IOW is a beautiful laid back island but I DO NOT recommend the NEEDLES as I feel that this is overly commercialised and it ruins the laid back vibe of the island. If you like home made jams and pickles then you MUST buy some from the man at the top of the lane he sells delicious jams and pickles we had to bring 2 jars home but they are dwindling away fast. Ryde beach is a lovely beach and we cannot wait to book and go back I have recommended this cabin to all of my friends and family. See you again soon Gilly and Dave
