“Excellent friendly hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 April 2012

Stayed for two nights including dinner using a groupon deal with my husband and 9 year old son. I was very impressed with the hotel staff who were extremely friendly and gave the impression that nothing was too much trouble. The evening meal was of a good quality and included a bottle of wine of our choice in our deal, and they have a childs menu at £10 for three courses which my son enjoyed. Breakfast was buffet style plenty of variety. Our room was a suite near the bar area and was lovely for a family as it had an upstairs bed for my son. We used the Nuffield gym on site with lovely swimming pool. Fantastic value for money!

Stayed in this hotel on groupon DBB deal and have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel and the welcome we received.
Wonderful location and grounds made for a very relaxing break, food in Lytton restaurant together with service was faultless, all the public rooms are beautiful and grand perfect setting for afternoon tea.
We certainly would like to come back.

Room Tip: Rooms in the old part of the hotel are wonderful and quirky, more modern rooms are situated in the n...

Yesterday the 15th april 2012, i visited Letchworth hall hotel for afternoon tea with my mother, sister and cousin. We were seated in the grand hall which was had a wonderful ambience with the big old fire place, oil paintings on the walls, and very comfortable chairs, it was just so cosy. The tea was excellent, beautiful cakes , lovely clotted cream and proper strawberry jam. The staff were polite and very helpful. I recently had been to another place in London for afternoon tea, all i can say is that Letchworth hall was much better, more superior and value for money.
I will be recommending this place to my friends and i am looking forward to returning to having Sunday lunch there in the near future.

Jackie.

Dear Guest,
Thank-you for your excellent review. It is a delight to read your comments and especially in respect to the ambiance and quality of the tea you were served. To compare us to another London venue is excellent. We have spent considerable time recently developing our Afternoon Tea offering at Letchworth Hall, and we are very pleased to read these comments. Thank-you once again, and we all look forward to welcoming you back in the very near future.

Just had afternoon tea at the Letchworth Hall Hotel with a large group of friends, the rest of whom had booked using Groupon vouchers. I, as a late addition to the group, paid full price which was an amazing £16.95. That is £16.95 for three finger sandwiches, one scone with jam and cream and tea. There were tray baked cakes available which I didn't try. My suggestion is that those who set such prices visit the Wolseley in London's Piccadilly where afternoon tea costs a little more but is exquisite. My memory is that a cream tea costs a little under £10 but a full 'monty' about £20.

Dear Guest,
Thank-you for your comments. Having looked into your point regarding afternoon tea, I can confirm that the standard price for the full tea at Letchworth Hall is £16.95. The other guests in your party had pre-booked a special price prior to the date of your visit. We use many different booking and offer portals which give all potential patrons the opportunity to advance purchase at often lower prices than normal. Unfortunately, you had not taken advantage of any of these booking sites therefore the regular price on the day was charged, a price which is clearly advertised on all literature and menu's. Thank-you once again for your comments.
