This is our second visit and we love staying at The Oast House. It's on a beautiful East Sussex farm with lots of places to walk and explore by car. The hosts couldn't be nicer or more welcoming. The house itself is very comfortable with a wonderful kitchen to cook in. We certainly plan to come back. Such a great holiday from city life! And a chance to explore a truly beautiful part of England.

We stayed at the Oust for a weekend whilst in East Sussex for a wedding.
The property is advertised to sleep 4 people and the main bedroom is a very good size with comfortable bed. The 2nd bedroom however is very cramped, just enough space for 2 single beds really.
The bathroom is fine (good power shower) and the kitchen was pretty well equipped. There are a few nice touches like a welcome food basket with bread, eggs & milk which was useful. The Oust also has a self-contained garden with BBQ which whilst we didn't make use of would be good for a longer stay.

We had a lovely time staying at The Oast, it is very peaceful and in a beautiful part of Sussex. I would absolutely recommend this cottage to friends and family. We will come back one day. The owners were very friendly and left various treats in the cottage including milk, bread and fruit to make our stay more enjoyable. Great value for money.

We drove there in February on a Friday evening through torrential downpours so it was a welcome treat to arrive to this lovely little place on a picturesque farm which was stiocked up already with all the essentials, bread, milk, butter, eggs, coffee etc. That great little touch is unusual at least for me having stayed at a number of similar places and saved us having to go and sort it ourselves. Definately recommended...pity we picked the worst weekend to go though....If Dahne could control the weather too it would be a 6!!
The Oast is a lovely cosy little place, containing everything you could need for a comfortable stay away from home in the peaceful countryside. We really appreciated the basic food supplies all ready for us when we arrived, and were impressed by the standard of decor and facilities. I packed layers expecting to be chilly, as rental places often are in the winter, but was pleasantly surprised to find it warm and welcoming. Don't forget your wellies (and slippers for the tiled floor) and you can't go wrong!
