“More wonderful birding!”
Reviewed 17 January 2016 for a stay in January 2016

Our second visit and it was even better than the first. A lovely cottage, very well equipped and the open coal fire was a joy! So close to Stiffkey Marshes and there were more birds than last year! Blakeney Marshes are within easy reach and also RSPB Titchwell. Lots of geese and a dozen marsh harriers circling together at Titchwell as well as numerous ducks and waders and a barn owl. A magic week!

“Cosy Retreat”
Reviewed 26 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

We stayed here for a long weekend in Nov and although the weather wasn't brilliant we had a lovely stay . The cottage is a lovely cosy place to retreat back to at the end of the day with a lovely open fire to add to the atmosphere. The kitchen is beautiful & well equipped with everything you could possibly need , please be aware the stairs are VERY steep . Parking is on the road side away from the property so I would advise taking a torch , we forgot to take one & the drive way to the property after parking is absolutely pitch black until you get closer to the property when the security lighting then comes on . We had no problems with parking but on 2 nights we took the last parking space on the roadside so maybe a problem in the summer months when surrounding cottages are also booked . Overall lovely little place to stay & enjoy

“Fantastic cottage. Great location.”
Reviewed 1 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We really enjoyed Lavender Cottage. It is a lovely old building with loads of character, but has been beautifully modernised to create a perfect holiday cottage. It is also in an excellent location near the north Norfolk coast; perfect for visiting Blakeney, Holkham, Wells and the rest of the heritage coast. Thank you very much Natasha.

Liked best: Characterful cottage in beautiful location.
Liked least: (Not suitable for older/disabled travelers or very young children, because of steep staircase - but this is made clear in the property description.)

“Cosy cottage”

Plus side: Easy to find, good location for all the sites in North Norfolk, kitchen area well equipped and lots of nice little homely touches to make it feel like a home away from home. The owner has gone to great lengths here. Lots of herbs and spices provided to flavour your home cooked meals. Stiffkey is a nice little village.
Niggles: parking not outside the cottage but you can load and unload outside so overall a minor point. Main bedroom and lounge facing road and was a little on the noisy side at times. Very steep stairs so take extra care with very young children.
Overall we'd recommend a stay here if you want to sample a taste of Norfolk life.

“Lovely cottage in a great location.”

We spent a lovely week here blessed by some fantastic weather. Friends joined us for three of the days and the cottage copied very well.
Its ideal if you like walking as the Norfolk Coastal path is 10 mins away and walking inland took you to some interesting places.
You could live in the kitchen which was always warm and had everything you need. Although in a rural area the broadband was superb unlike where i live.

Im sure we will go back
