“Lovely country site escape”
Reviewed 3 September 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We spent two nights at Swafield Hall exploring this lovely part of England. For me it was everything you expect in England… A beautiful old building (called Swafield Hall) with inside a fantastic renovated large apartment with even a second bedroom and a kitchen. The view from the large room over the gardens is spectacular, as are the vast gardens themselves. The area is like an advertisement for England, with lovely villages with local events in a green environment with hills, close to the seaside. I would absolutely recommend this property and hope to return again. For travelers from NL; direct KLM flight to Norwich International Airport which is 30 minutes away from Swafield Hall. So perfect weekend escape as this is England at its best. Thank you!

“Heavenly Historical Hall”

My family stayed a week in one of the very comfortable apartments available at Swafield Hall which is situated inside a magnificent park, with superb views.
They thoroughly enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere created by owners Tim and Boris who were always on hand to offer help and advice concerning the many local spots worthy of a visit. And events too, to numerous to list.
My family will certainly return to this address in North Norfolk in order to benefit again from a well earned and restful holiday.

“Lovely property, great gardens and good hosts”

We spent three nights at Swafield Hall whilst visiting family in the area. The apartment (2 bedroom South wing) was lovely with great views over the gardens. The main bedroom and living area was very spacious whilst the second bedroom was ample for our two children, and had room for the travel cot which we brought with us for our one year old. The bathroom has doors from both bedrooms so feels like an en suite for both, and has a shower, no bath. The separate kitchen is well equipped and we were able to prepare food and eat down in the conservatory and garden. Our kids loved exploring the garden, running up to the statue and hiding behind the hedges. The owners Tim and Boris were very welcoming and easy to chat too but not too pushy or overbearing. I would thoroughly recommend this property and hope to return again. Thank you!

“Beautiful old house with holiday apartments which have been restored and appointed to a very high standard.”

Swafield Hall is set in rolling Norfolk Countryside with large gardens a pond and a tennis court for guests to use.The apartments are on the top floor and have all modern conveniences without losing the character of the old house which has beautifully restored beams and lots of interest and character. All apartments have ensuite bathrooms and modern kitchens for self catering.
The house is near to the small town of North Walsham which has a variety of shops including a Waitrose. The coasts of North Norfolk and the Norfolk Broads are nearby. There are many first class restaurants and pubs in the area with excellent choices of meat, fish and vegetarian cuisine.

Just returned from 3 nights at Swafield Hall. Beautiful building - being restored to former glory by Boris and Tim. Fabulous gardens, lovely top floor apartment to sleep 4. Fully equipped kitchen. Everything was spotless and the old building is quirky and historic. Lovely conservatory with a BBQ and tennis court. Tim and Boris were great hosts - couldn't have done enough for us. We'll be back to see how all the renovations are going!
