This place is a homestay, instead while booking they have written it as hotel. Though it was visibly a nice little place if you are travelling with babies you should be careful about insects. The staff at the kitchen are rigid, i think they are actually with little resources, they refused us evening snacks as we checked in late, we have to go on our own after a journey from airport for some food. None informed us about the timing of breakfast, ordered milk for baby in 8AM that took 1 hour, the staff who brought in the milk also didn't said a word about breakfast, like they didn't care. Again we have to go out for that. The room at wood cot is scantily lighted and decorated with pictures that are very poorly chosen. In room no TV and intercom is there. The dinner was delicious, the gardens were nice, the view was awesome and the sweet little pets were lively. Overall the stay was average with these bitter sweet experiences.

Holumba Haven is a cozy, beautiful and natural homestay and a perfect choice for anyone who wants some peace in their travels. Many thanks to Tinlee, who helped to organize things whenever I asked for help, and to the kitchen staff for always making the tastiest meals. The surroundings in this homestay made me feel even more connected to nature with beautiful flowers surrounding the area and hearing the birds in the morning. The cottage where I stayed, the Magnolia Cottage, was comfortable, clean and spacious with beautiful decorations. When I return to Kalimpong, I will definitely stay at Holumba again!

Holumba is a nice place to stay in Kalimpong. They have cottages depending upon number of people. It's clean and tidy. They have a nice in-house restaurant. My friend was a vegetarian who doesn't eat onion and garlic, and they actually prepared a separate dish for her. They generally prepare like a common meal for all. They definitely have veg and non-veg. However, be careful of the dogs since the owner is a pet lover. Otherwise it's a beautiful place.

The hotel was fantastic, the rooms were very cosy, with a very handy heater. The staff were very kind and the food was fantastic. A few Dogs around helped to pass the time as well as the swings. the Bonfire in the night was the best part. Hoping to return to this wonderful hotel to stay at the next opportunity and will not hesitate to recommend to anyone who is looking for a pleasent stay in...

It is a very cozy resort where it feels you are staying in some guy's house. The management is very kind and walking around are a couple of dogs you can pet. Security is tight so you feel safe when you live there.
